Overview
The Bear Hunt (also called Bear Trap) is one of the best sources of free Forgehammers and resources in Kingshot. It's an alliance PvE event that occurs at the Pitfall building and can be summoned every few days by the alliance leader. Players attack the Raging Bear using rallies, earning rewards based on personal damage and alliance contribution.
Basic Mechanics
- The event lasts 30 minutes from activation
- Maximum rewards unlock at 1.2 billion damage
- Damage is dealt through rallies — single marches cannot attack the bear
- Only 4 additional hero skills are counted from rally joiners
- Lethality is the key damage stat — it's used as a multiplier and is harder to boost than Attack
Pitfall Upgrades
Always upgrade the Pitfall building for additional attack bonuses:

Best Heroes
- Infantry: Amadeus ≈ Helga > Zoe ≈ Long Fei
- Cavalry: Petra > Margot
- Archers: Use the latest generation available (newer = higher base stats)
For rally joiners, the optimal combination is 2 Chenkos + 2 Amanes, which deals approximately 12.5% more damage than 4 Chenkos.

Rewards
Bear Hunt rewards include Forgehammers (essential for hero gear upgrades), Essence Stones, Enhancement XP Components, resources, and speedups. Rewards scale with both personal and alliance total damage.
