Hero Shard FAQ
How many shards does it take to max a hero?
1,065 shards take an unlocked hero from 0 to 5 stars. Every hero uses the same star costs: 10, 40, 115, 300, and 600 shards for stars 1 to 5. Unlocking the hero comes first and takes 10 of its shards for most heroes; each hero’s page shows the exact number.
How do star stages work?
Each star has 6 stages, and the last stage completes the star. Stage costs climb from 1 to 100 shards; every stage of star 5 costs 100, so that star alone takes 600 of the 1,065 shards.
Where do I get hero shards?
Each hero has their own shards, and each hero’s page in our hero database lists where to get them. Hero Roulette, for example, gives shards for 8 heroes.
How many stars does exclusive gear need?
A Mythic hero needs 1 star and Town Center 15 before its exclusive gear can reach level 1. Plan the Widgets for each level with the Hero Exclusive Gear Calculator.
