Overview
The Lion is a Generation 3 pet that unlocks around Day 110 of your server. It is particularly valued by F2P players due to its Gift of the King skill, which can drop rare and valuable items that are otherwise hard to obtain without spending.
Gift of the King Skill
Gift of the King unearths lost items on the Badland, including Forgehammers, TrueGold, and Charm items. These drops occur every 1-2 days depending on the Lion's upgrade level — the higher the level, the shorter the cooldown.
For F2P players, this is one of the most reliable sources of Forgehammers and TrueGold, making the Lion an extremely high-priority pet investment.
Upgrade Priority
The Lion is #3 priority for F2P players (after Gray Wolf and Bison). Once unlocked at ~Day 110, immediately start investing in it. The rare item drops compound over time, giving long-term F2P players a significant advantage.
