Overview
The Gray Wolf is the first pet to become available in Kingshot, unlocking around Day 55 of your server's life. As a Generation 1 pet, it has lower base stats compared to later generation pets, but its unique skill — Construction Aide — makes it invaluable for accelerating base development.
Every pet provides 2 primary buffs (Squad Attack and Squad Defense) that increase as the pet is upgraded. Starting at Level 10, pets also gain 6 secondary buffs (Lethality and Health for each of the 3 troop classes) that improve through the Refining system.
Construction Aide Skill
The Gray Wolf's unique skill, Construction Aide, increases your construction speed by a percentage that scales with the pet's level. At higher levels, this can significantly reduce building upgrade times, stacking with other construction speed bonuses from research, items, and VIP.
Upgrade Priority
For F2P players, the Gray Wolf is the #1 priority pet to upgrade because construction speed is one of the most impactful stats in early-to-mid game. Get it to a comfortable level before moving on to combat-focused pets like Bison or Lion.
Primary & Secondary Stats
Primary buffs (Squad ATK and Squad DEF) increase with each upgrade level. Secondary buffs unlock at Level 10 and can be improved via Refinement using Taming Marks. Focus refinement on the troop type you use most — typically Infantry Health and Archer Lethality.
