Overview
The Academy is one of the most important buildings in Kingshot. It allows you to research technologies that provide permanent stat boosts to your account. Unlike temporary buffs, research bonuses are always active.
Upgrading the Academy increases your Research Speed bonus and is required to unlock higher-tier technologies in all research trees.
Research Trees
The Academy features three main research trees:
- Growth (45 technologies): Construction speed, research speed, march queue, Tool Enhancement, Tooling Up, and Command Tactics.
- Economy (44 technologies): Resource production, gathering speed, and resource management.
- Battle (102 technologies): Troop stats (ATK, DEF, HP, Lethality), Regimental Expansion, and troop-specific bonuses for Infantry, Cavalry, and Archers.
Research Priority
The recommended research priority order is:
- Growth: Tooling Up → Tool Enhancement → Command Tactics (construction speed, research speed, march queue)
- Economy: Focus on Gathering Research only — gathering provides more resources than building output in later stages
- Battle: Regimental Expansion → Assault Techniques → Survival Techniques → Lethality for Archers/Cavalry → Health for Infantry
